Last Day in this house.

That’s right. It’s the last day I’m going  to spend in this home. The last night too…I remember how it all started…

I remember my parents started looking around at new apartments at the early half of this year. I didn’t think much about it then. As far as I was concerned, I would be spending the next few years at least, at Bedok. I didn’t think twice about the possibility of having to move house that year of course.

Some time later… I find myself in the car lying down…as often.. when my Dad suddenly pops up with the question about moving house. He mentioned about it just being a thought and that my brother and I didn’t want to move house, then we would not. I obviously was never for moving the house but my brother was excited about the thought.. either way.. my objections were met on partially deaf ears.. (or else we wouldn’t be moving now of course..)

So yes we are moving house and this is going to be the very last day I will spend in the room I have lived in and made my personal home for the last 13 or so years.. no doubt it became very dusty along the way…but it was still home. I threw some personal stuff which was considered junk that ought not to be brought to the new home by not me of course, which was greatly saddening.

Current feelings on the impending move…an obvious tinge of sadness.. and a strong longing to stay.. I just want to enjoy the house while I’m here..and time waits for no man after all. I cried earlier.

What I will miss in the house :
-All the little sketches or whatnot I drew on the walls of the house when I was young. =P
-Obviously my room which was so awesome by the way.
-The height wall! Well, when I was younger every few months or so I would go to one of the walls near the balcony and record my height. So its a wall with my height recorded on it together with my handwriting of that age. (It’s really cool to see how I’ve grown and how my handwriting has changed over the years..)
-The whole house in general but the 3 above are probably the most prominent ones.

I still have my 2010 diary unpacked. I plan to write one last entry in this house before I leave. It will be written tonight before bed.
There was more I wanted to say but I seem to have forgotten temporarily. .

And Thank the Lord for the knowledge that my true home is in heaven one day and I hope to return to it where everything else may be forgotten and left behind.

Things went well.

Cleared the Physics Science Practical Assessment today. Things went fairly smoothly.

A logical mind is needed for Computing.

Midnight

Just Updating…

Okay if anyone actually bothers to see this rarely updated but actve site, this is proof I am still around.. Okay..
Life in Junior College has really stepped up and my days have been very busy of late. The main goal now is to pass and hopefully do well for the end year promotional exams. Besides that I’ve been having really nice chats with friends on Skype and listening to music at night. Not forgetting to put in my hours of study everyday of course. I hope I am able to stay vigilant in continuing to study hard and work hard and manage time well. Though it can be tough at times. I must persist.. I have much to say that’s going to be left unsaid now.. Till the next update.

Resurrection Sunday!

Happy Resurrection Sunday everyone!
I’ve been enjoying the extended weekend although I have been really busy with the Preliminary Idea PI aspect of Project Work.. Either case I have been having fun.

Helping out in Kids for Christ (KFC) now and although the kids can sometimes be rather hyper, its always fun to interact with them and I miss the times when I used to be just like them.. Young@Heart.

Either case, I have been following a new band called Sidewalk Prophets which produces great Contemporary Christian songs!

That’s about it for now…off to get on with some H2 Mathematics, specifically Linear Correlation and Regression…

This space has been around since 2007.

I had no idea this space was around for so long. I reckon this should be put into my diaries. Brings back many memories reading old entries. While savouring the times spent in the past I will look to the future!

Starfield – Unashamed

"Unashamed"

I have not much
To offer You
Not near what You deserve
But still I come
Because Your cross
Has placed in me my worth

Oh, Christ my King
Of sympathy
Whose wounds secure my peace
Your grace extends
To call me friend
Your mercy sets me free

And I know I’m weak
I know I’m unworthy
To call upon Your name
But because of grace
Because of Your mercy
I stand here unashamed

I can’t explain
This kind of love
I’m humbled and amazed
That You’d come down
From heavens heights
And greet me face to face

Here I am at Your feet
In my brokeness complete

Unashamed by Starfield.

Its been awhile.

Is has been ages since I last "stepped foot" onto this space.

As of late I seem to find myself in increasingly frequent conversations within my mind. I always wanted to go to Europe.. I have always wanted to act in one particular "hopefully to be" movie but I suspect I will be nowhere near the auditions, or my Asian features might just result in a turn down even if by some miraculous feat I am able to attend a hopefully would be audition. Argh…I want to at least have a go though..

But for now…I have GSCE Examinations to worry about. Back to work.

SYF Results

We got a Silver.

Im disappointed, but at the same time happy, and proud. And this is how I end my journey in the Saints Choir. With no regrets, and no looking back. I will miss the choir. But good things always come to an end. I honestly did not think I would even be writing this, but there you are.

After all the ups and downs on the bumpy Saints Choir road I took, I have finally reached my destination. And thank the road for paving the way for me.

This area has not closed down. Merely rendered inactive for the moment…

…Which will most likely last till after the big examinations.

World Youth Choral Festival [WYCF]

Recently I have been attending this festival known as the World Youth Choral Festival for long, WYCF for short.

I have been selected by my teacher IC of my school schoir to be part of this festival. The training sessions have been long and tedious but really fun. I can appreciate all the songs when they have been combined. Some times the Tenor parts of the songs I sing sound weird on its own but when we combine it as a whole, the piece of music becomes truly beautiful. I will be going for practice tomorrow and the day after too. I hope that this experience will be enriching and fun. =) I might write a more detailed entry on this in time.

My Home away from Home

This live space is my Home away from home. It makes me feel cozy, to have a personal place where I can access easily as long as I have a computer with internet access. In other words, this home is as good as portable. This theme is also perfect as it represents part of who I am. This space is also very edit friendly and user friendly. Which is also partly why I love it so much.

Exams nearing

Time to sit down and study for the Final Year Exams. Its been a busy year, but fun. Time passed way too fast personally but who am I to say right?

Work time.

Musical Nights

The musical that our school put up was a very very tiring affair. It was all like…shh! Quiet! Sit down! And all sorts of other ways to get the boys to ssh and get in order. There was also a lot of you go there, you stay here too. xD Some lines were fogotten and there was problems here and there..but it went smoothly enough. I came back home after the last night of the musical at about 12 plus in the morning. I watched Troy which had already shown halfway before turning in for a goodnight sleep. The next day, I had to do ushering at church…

Away from Home – With the family, but missing the friends.

Today was another tiring. and thoroughly exhausting day. After coming back to my Auntie’s house which I am currently staying over in from Chemistry class, I was met with my cousins, which are all younger than me. I must admit that I admire them alot. I also admit that I find that they are as mature as me and work hard to please me and help me enjoy my stay. I have been helping them build a Lego base. Which is coming along really well, I must admit. I have been doing some of my homework amidst the chaos as well. xD Now, retreating to the study, I log on to this beautiful iMac Leopard, which is huge by the way to write this post.

Yours truly,
Ethaneo

Terminal 3

Today, after waking up late and rushing to church to usher, for the first time with my youth cell named T7.

After church, after significant waiting, we left for T3. Upon arriving, we ate at Burger King at T2. After finishing my meal and some extra onion rings donated from my cell mate, we went to take the sky train to T3. On the way there, I looked up at the sky and actually realised how big it was. God’s Creation. Beautiful. We walked around T3 for awhile and sadly I had to leave for tuition…

Busy Schedule

Sorry guys, but I have been very busy lately and have not gotten the chance to post. I apologise.

Things have been going well.
I got a new bowling highscore of 129.
I will be singing the hymn at morning assembly in front of the school on Friday.
I have found my homework file which I lost sometime ago.
I am an assistant group leader in my churches youth cell group.

I shall try to update again soon =p

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!

Choir Camp 08

Just came back from Choir Camp 08 yesterday. It was very tiring, and I got a couple of injuies with it too! We ran all around the school, played xbox 360, Wii games and such all night. Swam in the school pool, and cycled and skated at ECP.

There goes the Mac, and that means no more paragraphing problems. I will miss the mac alot though. I am more familiar with mac than Windows. Bye mac!

The End of the Recordings and Project 08 – Tracking the J

The Recording Sessions came to an end today. I will miss all the new friends I made for sure. I enjoyed singing in the recording studio with them. Cracking jokes, but still getting the job done in the end, with time to spare!

Project 08 is a self initiated project I created for myself. I will be tracking one of my classmates activities and reactions to different situations and recording them down. With his approval of course. Its defiently not a compulsory project and can be stopped at any point in time. For now I am trying to get a website up and get a custom blogskin, record at least 5 chapters of activities. [I already hae 3 plus Intro] I really hope this will be a very fun project. For now, I have to seek some help from more blogger savvy classmates for help with the blogskin. Then, the official project will start. The name representing the J is currently not going to be disclosed, and I need my classmates consent. Even upon getting it, only his first name will be mentioned.

New top tremulous kill count. 138! =D Was previously 125. xD Got the highscore on the map Niveus. Go to http://www.tremulous.net to download the game.

I will be returning my Powerbook soon. Advantages is that I will not be stuck with this auto paragraphing problem. Disadvantage is that I like the Powerbook and all my files and fonts used and lining are in Powerbook format. With Mac fonts etc.

I also have been playing Knights of the Old Republic on my Xbox360. [This was during the holidays] Yes, some original Xbox games work on Xbox 360. =D

I also have a strong interest in the Star Wars Republic Commando Series. I am going to try and learn Mandalorian! Vode An. [Brothers/sisters/comrades All]

Secondary 3 Life and MOE Song Recordings

Secondary school ends at 3pm everyday now. With MOE recordings of national songs starting immediately, which are only for the first two weeks, which is this week and now. I rush to buy my lunch from outside school as my school canteen already closes by that time, then take a taxi ride all the way to St.Patricks Secondary which is at East Coast Road. Hurriedly eating my lunch at the school canteen there, we make our way to the recording studio in the school. Where we have our rehearsal and recordings taking place. Plus some video shoots of us squatting and jumping, while raising our hands high and smiling all the time. That is how it has been for the previous few days and for the days to come. Not to mention homework!

Secondary 3 Camp

Secondary 3 Camp is just over. I am so tired, and am itching from so many insect bites. The campfire was great, the games were fun, the sleep was not so peaceful. Haha! Lazy to give a detailed entry.
